Practice Mode stops the moment you reach the end of the passage, so short sessions end on their own. Start Exam keeps the clock running for the full duration you selected, the way a real typing exam is timed, regardless of how much text you have covered.

Yes. The Backspace setting has Enable and Disable radios, and choosing Disable stops the Backspace key from working at all during the test, so errors stay on the screen. The word limit is off by default; switch it to Enable and the test finishes as soon as you type the number of words in the box next to it, which accepts 5 to 500.

No. The dropdown title seeds a freshly generated passage of long exam-style words such as Jurisprudence, Constitutional and Infrastructure, sized to roughly sixty words per minute of the test length you chose. If you want a specific piece of text, choose Custom and paste your own paragraph instead.

When the time or word limit runs out you get a card with Net Speed, accuracy, total errors and time taken, headed by the candidate name you entered. Nothing is stored anywhere, so you can share the result or hit Retake, which reloads the page and clears the settings back to the form.
