Spin the Wheel
How the pick is made
The winner is chosen before the wheel starts turning, using the same cryptographic random source the browser uses for keys. The spin is then animated to stop on that slice. Deciding first and animating second is what keeps it honest — a result read from where an animation happens to stop can be influenced by frame timing.
Uses
- Picking a name in a classroom or a team.
- Deciding where to eat when nobody will choose.
- Drawing an order of play or presentation.
- Small giveaways, with the winner removed between draws.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The winner is chosen first with a cryptographic random pick, and the wheel is then animated to land on it. Slice sizes are equal, so nothing is weighted however the wheel happens to look mid-spin.
Yes — tick "remove the winner" and each result is taken out, which is what you want for picking an order or drawing several names.
Up to a hundred. Past about thirty the labels get too small to read on the wheel, though the picking stays exact.
